Master of Arts is a postgraduate History course. History includes a comprehensive and thorough study of specialisation in history of some certain time periods of cultures. The course also covers the study of major historical events that took place both in India as well as across the world. Students also are provided Research Skills and Methods, such as research, writing and presentation skills and palaeography, and two additional tailored research skills courses to meet their specific research training needs. Besides of this one, students follow two specialist optional courses and linked historiographical modules to provide the intellectual, conceptual and historiographical framework for their research. M.A. in History is two years duration course and the syllabus is divided into two semesters.
