Key Activities and Initiatives

The YRC unit at BMU engages in various activities to promote health awareness and community service:

  • Health Awareness Rallies: On World Red Cross Day, the YRC organized a health awareness rally, starting from the university campus and extending to the surrounding areas. This initiative aimed to educate the public on health and hygiene practices.
  • Training Camps: Students have the opportunity to attend 7-day YRC training camps organized by the University Youth Red Cross and the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) state branch. These camps focus on disaster response, first aid, and other essential skills.

Boys State Level Youth Red Cross Training Camp
Date: 26th to 31st October 2023
Venue: Shree Nangli Bela Ashram, Bhupat Wala, near Sukhi Nadi, Haridwar, Uttarakhand
Participants: 7 YRC volunteers from Baba Mastnath University, Asthal Bohar, Rohtak and YRC Programme Coordinator Dr. Sanjay Kumar.
Achievements:
3rd position in Group Dance among all Haryana participants.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar received the Best Programme Coordinator award

Girls State Level Youth Red Cross Training Camp
Date: 7th to 12th February 2024
Venue: Shree Nangli Bela Ashram, Bhupat Wala, near Sukhi Nadi, Haridwar, Uttarakhand
Participants: 11 YRC girls volunteers, Programme Coordinator Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Counsellor Dr. Neha Arya from Baba Mastnath University, Asthal Bohar, Rohtak

Achievements:

  • 1st prize in Group Dance.
  • 1st prize in Lucky Draw Competition.
  • 2nd prize in Group Song.
  • 2nd prize in Solo Song.
  • Best Overall Award for Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak.
  • Dr. Sanjay Kumar received the 1st award for Best Coordination among all coordinators.
  • Dr. Neha Arya, counsellor at Baba Mastnath University, received the Best Disciplined Award.
