The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an government sponsored public service programme under the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India

Objective of NSS

  • To enable the students to understand the community in which they work.
  • To understand themselves in relation to the community.
  • To identify the needs and problems of the community and the solution to them.
  • To develop competence required for group living and sharing responsibilities.
  • To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude .
  • To encourage national integration and develop the capacity to meet emergencies and national disasters .

Achievements

State NSS Camp at Ch. Ranbir Singh University, Jind from 19/10/2021 to 25/10/2021.
Two volunteers participated and awarded by certificate.

National Integration Camp at College of Agriculture, Bawal (Rewari) from 21/03/2022 to 27/03/2022.
Two volunteers participated and awarded by certificate.

National Integration Camp at Indira Gandhi University , Rewari from 21/10/2024 to 27/10/2024.
Srishti Malik got 1st position in Singing Competition, 2nd position in Dance Competition, 3rd position in Theatre Competition , won the title of ‘Best Leader’ and awarded by gold medal and 5 certificates. Harsh participated and awarded by a medal and a certificate.

University level seven day camp at Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana from 28/01/2025 to 03/02/2025.
Himanshu got 1st position in tug of war and skit, Yogesh got 1st position in volleyball, Utsav got 2nd position in tug of war and 3rd position in volleyball, Sangeeta got 3rd position in tug of war.
They are awarded by 5 medals and appreciation certificates.
